​Academic Departments ​The Faculty encompasses specialized engineering disciplines designed to support modern industry and infrastructure: ​Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering: Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Transportation Systems, Water Resources, and Sustainable Infrastructure. ​Department of Mechanical & Energy Engineering: Thermal Sciences, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, Energy Systems, and Fluid Mechanics. ​Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering: Power Systems, Renewable Energy, Embedded Systems, Communications, Signal Processing, and Microelectronics. ​Department of Computer Science & Software Engineering: Software Architecture, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, and Data Engineering. ​Department of Architectural Engineering & Urban Design: Architectural Design, Building Technology, Sustainable Urban Planning, and Landscape Architecture. ​Department of Biomedical Engineering: Biomechanics, Bio-Instrumentation, Medical Imaging Systems, and Biomaterials. ​Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering: Manufacturing Processes, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, and Quality Assurance. ​System of Study & Academic Credit Hours ​The university operates under an Integrated Credit Hour System that blends theoretical lectures, computer-aided design (CAD) modeling, laboratory experimentation, and practical field projects. ​Undergraduate Degree Program (B.Sc. in Engineering): ​Total Academic Credit Hours: 180 Credit Hours. ​Duration of Study: 5 Academic Years (comprising 4 years of academic and laboratory instruction followed by 1 full year of compulsory Industrial Internship and Senior Design Project). ​Affiliated Engineering Centers & Research Institutes ​Students gain hands-on technical experience through specialized university laboratories and industrial partnerships: ​AUCE Advanced Engineering Laboratories Complex: State-of-the-art facilities featuring robotics units, CNC machining centers, high-voltage test bays, and heavy structural testing rigs. ​AUCE Center for Artificial Intelligence & Innovation: Dedicated to software development, cybersecurity labs, machine learning projects, and smart grid research. ​Network of Partnered Industrial & Corporate Training Centers: Strategic partnerships with international engineering firms, construction giants, technology corporations, and industrial plants for supervised summer training and practical internships. ​Graduate Studies: Master’s & Doctoral Degrees ​The Faculty of Engineering offers accredited Master of Science (M.Sc.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees across all engineering disciplines. ​Master of Science (M.Sc.) Programs ​Focused on advanced technical specialization, complex engineering analysis, and applied industrial research. ​Duration of Study: 2 Academic Years. ​Total Credit Hours: 45 Credit Hours (comprising advanced engineering coursework, laboratory research, and a master’s thesis defense). ​Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Programs ​Designed for academic faculty positions, industrial R&D leadership, technological innovation, and original doctoral research. ​Duration of Study: 3 Academic Years. ​Total Credit Hours: 60 Credit Hours (including advanced doctoral seminars, experimental or computational research, and an original doctoral dissertation).
